SERVPRO cleaned all the contents to make sure the soot smell disappeared.

SERVPRO of Southwest Portland received a call regarding a fire in a local home in the Portland metropolitan area. The customer informed us that a plumber started a fire in the basement and that the fire department came to take care of the fire but they were reaching out to SERVPRO regarding the lingering smoke smell in the three-level home.

Within an hour of receiving the call as promised our crew was on site ready to do whatever it takes to get rid of this odor asap. During the initial walk though it was obvious that the smoke damage had affected 6 rooms in the home. The customer is staying with their family members during the job due to the strong smell.

Our crew then planned a pack out to make sure all the furniture and valuables were going to be taken back to our warehouse and held until the job is finished. Our crew brought in four air movers in addition to four specialty drying equipment. In order to help get the customers home back to pre-fire loss as soon as possible. Our crew was able to get in and out in only 5 days getting the customer back to enjoying their home.
