The hot water tank went wrong

In the early hours of the workweek, SERVPRO of Southwest Portland received a call regarding a water loss in a local home in the Portland area. The water loss was caused by the failure of the water heater located in the utility closet. The customer informed us that the closet was wet along with the thought that the crawl space was also wet.
Our awesome crew here at SERVPRO of Southwest Portland received the call and was out on the job within 45 minutes of the call ending. During the initial walk thought it was obvious that the hardwood was very wet and that the floor was starting to swell. Our crew decided that demolition was going to need in order to help dry the home. They had to pull the affected underlay and the affected wood flooring in the hall.
The next in the demolition process was to flood cut the walls in the utility room and pull the wet insulation in the crawlspace. A flood cut is a term that means the removal of water from the damaged drywall. Our amazing crew here at SERVPRO of Southwest Portland were able to dry the home in only two days allowing the family comfort knowing that we were able to dry their home with a quickness.
