Huge water loss at a local daycare

Air movers attached to floor drying system to help speed up the drying process

Earlier this fall SERVPRO of Southwest Portland received a call regarding a water loss at a local daycare center. Once our crew noticed that the water loss came from an AC drain pan in the attic it overflowed and dripped through the blown-in insulation and affected multiple rooms, walls, and ceilings. 

The next step is to come up with a drying plan. The plan was to find a dehumidifier that was small enough to fit into the attic. Along with dehumidifiers, the crew will also need specialty drying equipment in order for the wall cavities to dry.

This job brought a lot of challenges to COVID-19, the kids attending the daycare, and trying to do this as quickly as possible without disrupting business. With those challenges in place, we attacked them head-on here at SERVPRO of Southwest Portland we make sure our crew members are wearing regulated personal protective equipment (PPE).
