Fire Then Water Damage

This multi-story assisted living center on the hills of downtown Portland experienced a fire break out in one of the resident's kitchens. The sprinklers in the building went off to put out the initial flames and then fire crews arrived to cover the rest. By the time the fire had been put out five floors had significant amounts of water damage. SERVPRO of Southwest Portland went in to first remove the water damage that had occurred and then start to clear out the initial problem, the fire and soot damage. We placed equipment throughout elevators, hallways, resident rooms, and dining area. After the meters read the floor, walls, drywall, and carpets were dry. We began to go through salvageable items from the fire and start to clear the soot out of the room. This was a long process, but the finished product looked good as new!
