Damaged Hot Water Heater Lead to Mold
1/2/2020 (Permalink)
This customer had a damaged hot water heater when we got the initial call. Upon testing the surrounding areas we got positive readings for mold so began remediation and drying. The areas that were affected with mold needed to be demolished and debris needed to be removed, these areas included the walls and carpet near the hot water heater. We were able to cut away exposed walls along the baseboards and then set up containment to dry out the water in the structure. We had equipment at the site for two days then the customer was able to move forward with their reconstruction of the drywall and the underlayment in the unit by the third day. The affected areas that were left were restored to preloss condition.
